Supercars sprints into the GC500 with community shakeout run & rave | Inside Gold Coast

R&R… rest and relaxation? More like run and rave!

To get drivers and spectators ready for the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, Supercars is combining Gold Coast’s favourite hobbies: running, early mornings, coffee and raves. In a Gold Coast community-focused event, Supercars will get the party started with a pre-race week ‘shakeout’ run along Main Beach. starting at 6.30am this Friday 17th October.

Hosted in partnership with local run club, WeStride, Supercars driver Declan Fraser will join runners along a 3km coastal route. Starting at cult favourite cafe, The Winey Cow, they’ll head down Main Beach and back to get the blood pumping and the muscles moving ahead of Gold Coast’s biggest sporting event of the year.

At the finish line, runners will enjoy coffees and pump-up tunes by none other than Supercars driver James Golding, who will trade his helmet for headphones in a DJ set designed to turn up the volume on race week.

Supercars will shout the first 50 coffees and giveaway four tickets to Gold Coast’s best runners.

Supercars is proud to connect with and support local Gold Coast businesses and community groups beyond the track, with the Gold Coast 500 projected to inject $58 million into the city’s economy this year.
